I'lam condemns newspaper “Ma'ariv” regarding the firing of journalist Hatai Matar

Following the public statement from the Deputy General Director of Ma'ariv and the view that the dismissal of Matar came because of his counter-Zionist political orientations. I'lam has gone to the Ma'ariv General Manager, asking him to reconsider firing of Matar.
I'lam pointed in its message to the Israeli Equal Opportunity Act, which explicitly prevents any discrimination in employment due to ethnicity, gender, or any other background.
I'lam has re-iterated this message and still has yet to receive any response.
