Invitation: Artists in the Fight on Violence Against Women

I'lam Media Center is pleased to invite the public to participate in a special evening held in conjunction with International Women's Day under the title:
“Artists... In the Fight on Violence Against Women”
The Evening Includes:
Special screening and discussion of the film “Throes/Labor Pains” directed by Waseem Khair
• “Throes/Labor Pains” is a short film examining the role of patriarchal society in the oppression of women – a production by I'lam Media Center’s Film Production Unit and “Elika”
Finale of the “Design Against Violence” Contest and the Announcement of the Winner
• All posters designed for the campaign will be displayed, then the winner will be announced and awarded their prize. This campaign was the first event of 2013 for I'lam's Media Campaigns Unit.
To be held Friday evening , March 8th, 2013 between the hours of 6 P.M. and 8 P.M.
