I’lam launches 3 new debate courses
2014-02-16
In an effort to strengthen the Arab Palestinian society, I’lam is launching three debate courses at Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, and in Nazareth.
The 3 courses, which will consist of 10 meetings, aim to create debate clubs for Arab students so they can engage with debate clubs in Israel and worldwide.
The courses will cover different subjects including the history of debate, marketing issues of public importance, how to defend individual and collective rights, critical thinking, rhetoric, and techniques for appearing on television.
The courses will culminate in a series of public debates on challenges facing the Arab Palestinian society, to be carried out by the student participants.
