2014-07-08
On Friday I’lam launched an audio journalism programme aimed primarily at media teacher in Arab schools and journalists
The participants will gain skills in audio journalism and the course will include several topics such as: the evolution of audio media and radio, rules and ethics of audio media profession, the language of audio media, voice technology and preparing for meetings on radio, practice of interview techniques, choosing appropriate themes and other topics, in addition to technical information on radio programming.
Each participant will receive a certificate of completion during the final session, which will be recognized by the Ministry of Education
I’lam believes that this course will fill a gap in the current media curriculum in Arab schools, which mainly focuses on teaching print media. It is envisioned that a special curriculum to teach audio media will be developed over the course of the programme, focusing on developing educational materials in Arabic and the standardization of terminology in the field of audio media.
