 Adalah – the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel – along with I’lam Center and 28 human rights organizations and institutions, signed a declaration against the demolition of Atir Umm al-Hiran, an unrecognized village in the Negev. The Haaretz newspaper published the declaration on its homepage.  

This declaration concerns the ongoing issue of the displacement of people from Umm al-Hiran – still pending in Israeli courts – following the government’s intention to build a Jewish town on their territory and transfer the Arab population out to another village.
