 On July 2, 2016 I'lam conducted a seminar on the role of Arab politics in Israel. The primary focus of this was the uses of parliamentary debate vs. public activism. Professor Amal Jamal explained the importance of engaging in civic activism at the local, regional, and federal level. Engaging in parliamentary debate is lateral approach to enacting recourse for Palestinians while civic activism can reach different levels of politics in Israel
