The goal of the cinematic production unit is to promote the creative talent of Palestinians living in Israel and to improve experts' abilities in several fields: screenwriting, directing, photography and editing. It is also to introduce the realities of Palestinian life in Israel to the international community by highlighting important aspects of Palestinians’ day-to-day political, social and cultural lives.

2a. Film Studies
In the domain of film studies, I’lam operates the Cinema Club program, showing films to a diverse Arab audience. In order to convey the impact that film has on the social and political atmosphere of a country, film studies places emphasis on understanding how public sentiment is shaped. The program aims to familiarize the public with Palestinian directors in order to make them aware of this genre’s importance, so it can be enhanced to nurture awareness in addition to creativity.
